Day 2837 since the crash.

This site is dedicated to the prayerful recovery of our son, Jonathan Conder, and to everyone who has been touched by the incredible amount of grief and loss that drunk drivers are causing in our lives.

It is no longer happening to somebody else. We are somebody else. All of us.

Our version of 'Every parent's worst fear' happened on Sunday morning, June 2, 2002 at 1:30am.

The voice on the phone said "Come to Mission Hospital right away. Your son has been involved in a very serious car accident."

It's hard to describe the mixture of fear, uncertainty, hope, powerlessness and disbelief that erupted in us during those few moments while we threw on some sweats and rushed to the car.

This is the story of Jonathan Conder and his recovery. He was 21 when the crash occurred and he was just starting to get a firm grip on this own, independent life when it was indefinitely put on hold in a split second of violence.
